Pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 440.14(a), the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving comments on the draft Weatherization Assistance Program State Plan for Program Year 2025.
The Weatherization Assistance Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and is administered in the Commonwealth of Virginia by DHCD. The program’s purposes are to increase the energy efficiency of dwellings owned or occupied by low-income persons, reduce total residential energy expenditures, and improve health and safety, especially of persons who are particularly vulnerable, such as the elderly, disabled, and families with children.
Interested parties are invited to provide comment regarding the Weatherization Assistance Program. If you cannot attend the public hearing, you may state your interest or concerns through written testimony mailed to Jennifer Bissett, Weatherization Assistance Program Administrator, DHCD, 600 E. Main Street, Ste. 300, Richmond, VA 23219 or via email to jennifer.bissett@dhcd.virginia.gov. Copies of the draft 2025 Weatherization Assistance Program State Plan is available on the weatherization webpage.
