The Lead Hazard Reduction Program is a new DHCD program that provides federal HUD funding to sub-recipient organizations to administer lead abatement activities across the state. The program works with local health departments, state agencies, and DHCD's existing network of providers within our Rehabilitation Program Portfolio to administer the grant. Other funds can be leveraged with LHR funds if permitted by their rules. A portion of LHR funds are used to build certified lead abatement contractor capacity across the commonwealth.
