The local restaurant and Continuum of Care (CoC)/Local Planning Group (LPG) partnership is a collaborative effort to provide food services to individuals experiencing homelessness living in hotel/motels for shelter. Developed through the partnership between DHCD’s Homeless and Special Needs Housing Unit and the Community Revitalization Office, local restaurants are now working in conjunction with homeless assistance organizations to provide food to individuals who are receiving shelter services. Connections were made between local restaurants and homeless providers to serve individuals throughout Virginia.
