RRP How-to-Apply Workshops

Applications are now open for the Virginia Rent Relief Program (RRP) Outreach and Engagement Grant

The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is now accepting applications for the Virginia Rent Relief Program (RRP) Outreach and Engagement Grant.

DHCD will award up to $5 million of federal Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) dollars to strategically promote RRP statewide within historically economically disadvantaged communities. Funding will also be used to assist households and landlords who have limited access to internet, accessibility or language barriers. The grant period will be from June 1-Dec. 31, 2021. Successful applications will demonstrate statewide coverage.

Proposals must be received no later than May 5, 2021 by 11:59 p.m.

Applications must be submitted through DHCD's Centralized Application and Management System (CAMS). Please closely review the Rent Relief Program Outreach and Engagement Guidelines and Application Instructions for additional details.

DHCD will be offering a how-to-apply webinar on Monday, April 12 at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, April 13 at 11 a.m. Attendance to at least one of these sessions is strongly encouraged.
