Grant Management Workshop

Registration is now open for the 2024 Virtual Grant Management Workshop, "Making an Impact - Know Your Why," April 16-18, 2024.

We encourage all of our partners to learn as much as possible about the various programs that DHCD offers. This workshop focuses primarily on beginner and advanced components of grant management for localities and organizations using traditional Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, but will also touch on information and discussion opportunities pertinent to Indoor Plumbing Rehabilitation (IPR-Flex), Lead Hazard Reduction (LHR), Acquire, Renovate Sell (ARS), Down Payment Assistance (DPA), and Virginia Individual Development Account (VIDA).

DHCD expects that all current and recently approved CDBG partners will be represented at the Grant Management Workshop. Additionally, if your locality has a CDBG Planning Grant or is considering applying for a CDBG planning or implementation grant during 2024, you will benefit from this workshop. We will also welcome and encourage attendance by partners involved with , IPR-Flex, LHR, ARS and SBRA, DPA, VIDA, and other programming.

Members of your team who should consider attending include chief executives, project and program managers, fiscal staff, grant managers and administrators, rehab administrators and consultants (if applicable).

On Day 3, April 18th the workshop will have an afternoon track for home renovation, construction and homeownership. Our housing partners are strongly encouraged to attend. Any of our partners may attend these sessions to learn more about the opportunities available through DHCD.

The workshop is virtual and will be offered at no cost to participants. Each day will present one track so that participants can choose sessions and days to attend.
